Lessons and choosing Music
I offer single lessons where you will learn steps and style, and also packages where you will learn your own choreographed and unique first dance. Whether you want something simple and effective or more advanced your wish is our command. Your wedding day is truly the most important day of your life and hopefully I can add that extra sparkle to yours too.
Lessons can be held in the comfort of your own home or held at a dance studio near you.
Advice when choosing music...
Some couples already have ‘their song’ that they want to dance to, if not don’t worry I’m here to help and give you advice when choosing music. You will need something that you are familiar with and would feel comfortable dancing to, and obviously one that you really LOVE as you will be hearing it a lot during the lessons...
You can dance to any song, however there are some easier than others. You want something with a gentle beat medium speed, not too fast as that will require some quite nifty footwork, but at the same time don’t think that opting for a slow song will be any easier as the steps will be really slow and ultimately could make the dance quite boring. I am pleased to say that here at Yorkshire wedding dance uk we can edit music for you, whether its the length of the song or if you cant decide which song to use we can make a medley of your chosen songs.
As for the length try and keep it t around 3 to 4 minutes, that’s enough time for your guests to be wowed by your dance. The longer the dance the more steps you will have to learn!!!
